Dick's education includes serving in the United States Air Force with mechanical & electrical engineering studies thru the Air Force Institute of Technology & extension courses thru the University of Maryland and continuing education with extension courses thru the University of Missouri, and Kansas State University. Dick is involved with civic and charitable activities with Cross-Lines Cooperative Council, Inc., Organ Donor Promotion and The National Kidney Foundation. Dick and his wife, Susan, live in Fairway, Kansas. They have two children and four grandchildren. Dick and Susan have Real Estate licenses to help them in their investment "hobby". Other hobbies include being Indy Car Racing fans, snow/water skiing, camping & canoeing and travel. Dick also plays guitar and chases the "wily" crappie.
